- Install and authorize. You approve read-only access through Shopify's standard authorization flow.
- Click Start Audit. The app scans your theme's layout for known app scripts and verifies your Shopify API connection.
- Review the report. See which known apps load on your storefront, whether your connection is healthy, and whether the app server, webhook, and OAuth flow are responding.
The audit takes a few seconds. Then it's up to you which apps to keep — review your installed apps in Shopify Admin → Settings → Apps.
What each CostPilot Pro audit checks
- Known app script detection — scans your theme's layout for scripts from a curated list of common Shopify apps (email, reviews, support, marketing, payments, and more), so you can see what is loaded on your storefront.
- Store connection check — verifies that your Shopify Admin API connection is active and returns your store name, plan, product count, and order status.
- System health monitor — checks that the app server, webhook endpoint, and OAuth flow are responding.

Your store's data, and your trust
Read-only access
CostPilot Pro requests read-only access to your store's products and theme through the Shopify Admin API. It cannot edit orders, change products, or touch your store's settings. You approve the scope during Shopify's standard authorization, and you can revoke it at any time.
Data minimization
The app works with the data it needs to run the audit — connection status, product count, and theme scripts — and nothing more. It doesn't sell or share your store data, and there is no checkout on this site: we never see or store card numbers. The full details are in our privacy policy.
